Carts

A cart with products in it is an order that hasn't happened yet. Carts shows you every one across your book, so you can call about a large basket before it goes cold, or place the order for the customer.

How it works

Carts come from your store's live data. A cart is listed once a customer, or a rep signed in as them, adds a product to it, and leaves the Carts page once it's ordered. Each cart has a status:

StatusMeaning
In progressChanged within the abandoned rule: someone is still working on it.
Abandoned · 4d (for example)Nobody has changed it for at least the number of days in Abandoned after. The number is how many days it has sat untouched.

The Carts screen

3 tiles sum up the carts. The Open carts table lists each one.

Find the carts worth chasing

  1. In Pulse, click Carts in the sidebar.
  2. Click Value to sort the biggest carts first, or Last change to sort by how long each has sat.
  3. To see only stalled carts, click Status and choose Abandoned.
  4. Click a cart to open it.
More detail

The table starts sorted by Last change, most recent first. You can sort by Lines, Units, Started, Last change or Value. The first click on a heading puts the biggest or most recent first, and the next click reverses it. An arrow shows which column the table is sorted by. On a phone, only Value sorts.

Change when a cart counts as abandoned

  1. Click Abandoned after.
  2. Choose the number of days, such as 7 days.

Every cart is re-checked straight away. The new rule also applies to the Carts in progress tile and the Carts tab of the Inbox on the Overview, to Activity and to the cart panel, so they all count the same carts. Your choice is saved in the browser you use, so it doesn't follow you to another device or browser.

Finish a cart for the customer

  1. Open the cart and click Finish it for them.
  2. Pulse signs you in as the customer and takes over their cart, with its lines in the basket.
  3. Change the order if you need to, then place it.

Once it's ordered, the cart leaves the Carts page. See Order for a customer for how the order builder works.

Nudge the customer

  1. Open the cart and click Add a nudge task.
  2. Pulse adds a task for today to your Task List, such as "Nudge about the $270 basket left in the cart (2 lines)".

To prepare for the call, click Call prep on the cart. It opens the account's call prep sheet: see Prepare for a call or visit.

The cart panel

Click a cart anywhere in Pulse to open it in a panel.

When some carts are in another currency, such as euros from a second storefront, the Value in carts tile shows them beside the total, such as +€1.4k, or +2 currencies when there are several. Hover over it to see the amount and number of carts in each currency.
