Shopping lists

Steps for

How it works

Shopping lists save products with their variants and quantities, so customers don't rebuild the same order each time. Each customer can keep as many lists as they need, such as monthly restocks, seasonal ranges or an order built up over several days.

How customers use shopping lists

Save products

From a product page, the cart or My Account.

As with any other order.

To try them, sign in to our B2B demo store (opens in a new tab).

Favourites are different: they save only the product, with no variant or quantity. See Favourites vs shopping lists.

Create a shopping list

Customers can create a list in 3 places:

WhereHow
My AccountGo to My Account > Shopping Lists and click Create List. This starts an empty list and leaves the cart as it is.
Add to shopping list windowWhen adding a product to a list, click Or create a new shopping list.
CartClick Actions, choose Add to shopping list, then create a new list.

The Shopping Lists page shows each list's Name and Last Updated date, with a search box and an Actions menu for each list.

Add products to a list

From a product page

  1. Set the quantity of each product or variant you want.
  2. Click the Add to shopping list icon (a clipboard) next to the Add to Cart button.
  3. In the Add to shopping list window, choose a list (or create a new one) and click Save.

The quantity on the page is saved to the list, and a message confirms it.

From the cart

  1. In the cart, click Actions.
  2. Choose Add to shopping list, or one of the lists shown under Shopping Lists in the menu.
  3. In the Add to shopping list window, choose the list and click Save.

Edit a list

Open a list from My Account > Shopping Lists. It shows when it was created and last modified, and each product's quantity and price.

ToDo this
Add productsSearch by name, SKU or barcode at the top of the list, and set the quantity.
Change quantitiesUse the quantity controls on each product. Quantity rules such as pack sizes still apply.
Remove productsClick the bin icon on a product, or tick several products and remove them together.

Add a list to the cart

Customers open the list and add the whole list at its saved quantities, or tick products and add only the selected items. Then they check out as normal.

Lists top up the cart: if a product is already there, its quantity increases. Nothing in the cart is removed or replaced.

Export a list to CSV

Customers and sales agents can download a list as a CSV file, to share or work on offline. Unsaved changes are saved first, so the file matches the screen.

The CSV includes the SKU, name, unit price and quantity of every item.

Turn shopping lists off

  1. Go to Storefront,Options (opens in your SparkLayer Dashboard in a new tab) and open My Account.
  2. Turn off Shopping lists.
  3. Click Save and publish.

The shopping list icon disappears from product pages, and Shopping Lists disappears from My Account.
