Introduction

How SparkLayer Works

Introduction

SparkLayer is an eCommerce platform that enables brands to rapidly scale and grow their B2B operation. It works alongside your existing online store, enabling a powerful self-service portal for your B2B customers to place orders, manage their account, and much more.

Once SparkLayer is set up, your B2B customers can simply login via your website and they'll then see all the B2B pricing and other B2B rules you've set up (e.g. payment methods, minimum spend shipping rules, and more).

Under the hood is a technical feature-set that allows you to connect your mission-critical systems (such as an ERP or CRM) allowing automation of your processes. SparkLayer enables this in one complete solution, helping you achieve your ambitious B2B goals!

The key elements to SparkLayer

To better understand how SparkLayer works, there are three key elements:

1

🔗 Connecting to your website Firstly, SparkLayer connects to your existing eCommerce website (e.g. Shopify). Once connected, it then synchronises specific data such as product and customer information.

2

📋 B2B data configuration Secondly, it allows B2B data and rules to be configured, such as Price Lists and settings for your Customer Groups (e.g. what payment methods they can use). You can manage this manually via the SparkLayer Dashboard or you can even automate this by connecting SparkLayer to your backend system (e.g. ERP or CRM) via the SparkLayer API

3

😊 B2B Frontend experience Thirdly, it enables a beautiful Frontend "self-service" experience for your B2B customers, allowing them to place orders, manage their account, re-order, and much more. This all happens on your existing website by enabling special "widgets" within your code.

4

🔄 B2B Order processing Finally, once everything is set up, any orders placed by B2B customers will arrive into your website's admin (e.g. Shopify) where you can then review them, make edits, or simply process them for shipment. This all uses your existing process and workflows that you've already got set up!
