Account Settings
The Account section in the Dashboard lets you manage your basic account details used on SparkLayer, update your password, and manage team members who have access to your SparkLayer Account.
From the My Account tab, you can edit the following information:
Field | Details |
---|---|
Name | Your full name |
Email address | Your email address used for logging into the SparkLayer Dashboard |
Company Name | The company name registered with SparkLayer |
Website | The website address registered with SparkLayer |
Site ID | This is used in setting up the Frontend Interfaces and the SparkLayer API (if enabled) |
At this time, it is not possible to edit the fields pertaining to your company information. These are intrinsic to SparkLayer operating and any edits may cause errors within the SparkLayer integration. If you do need to make changes, please contact us here.
From the Plan tab, you can check the current plan you're on as well as available options to upgrade or downgrade.
If you're using Shopify, all billing is processed via Shopify directly. If you change plan, you'll be taken off to the Shopify admin to confirm the change and then processed monthly via Shopify.
If you're using the Enterprise plan, you'll see your monthly cost within the Plan Summary. As with the Starter and Professional Plan, all payments are managed via Shopify directly.

The Password tab lets you modify your existing password used for logging into the SparkLayer Dashboard. It's also possible to perform a password reset via the SparkLayer login page.
If you're looking to invite additional people to your SparkLayer account, you can do so within the Team section.
Please note, only Team Owners can invite team members to collaborate on an account.
To get started, click the 'Add team member' button and you'll then see the following form:
From here, you can set the email address of the person you'd like to invite as well as their access privileges. There are two levels of access you can grant:
Access type | Description |
---|---|
Full access | Ideal for other members of your team. All pages can be viewed including the ability to update settings |
Restricted access | Ideal for technical implementation partners. Orders and Data Feeds can be viewed and configuration settings can be updated |
If you're looking to have technical assistance for the set up of SparkLayer, our recommendation is to invite users with Restricted access and they'll be able to create API Keys and test data feeds for you.
When you invite a team member, they'll then receive an email to activate their account. They'll be asked to "Accept Invitation" and create an account to get started.
Please note Any teams you create will be associated with your main SparkLayer account details. You can use these details to access any teams you set up.
If you're looking to use SparkLayer on more than one store, it's possible to create a brand new instance of SparkLayer using our built-in "Create New Team" feature.
Use-cases could include:
- You want to trial SparkLayer in "development mode" to allow you to test the features of SparkLayer
- You have multiple stores within your brand and you require SparkLayer account for each of them
In each scenario, once you've created a team you can then proceed to invite other team
To access this, go to the SparkLayer Dashboard and click your current team shown on the top left. You'll then see a button "Create New Team".
You'll then see the option to setup your team with the ability to specify a Company Name and Company Website.
Once you've created your team, you can access this via the top left of the SparkLayer Dashboard whenever you sign in. When a new team is created, you'll then need to proceed through the SparkLayer onboarding steps to get things setup (you can learn more in our Launch Checklist).
You can also proceed to invite any other team members to your new team by following the "Inviting team members" guide above.
If you're the current team owner, it's possible to assign ownership to another individual via the Team section of SparkLayer.
Once you've invited a team member to the account, simply click the Change owner button where you'll then be asked to confirm this action.
Currently it's not possible to delete your SparkLayer account via the Dashboard. By default, if an account becomes inactive (e.g. you disconnect SparkLayer from your online store), our system will automatically delete the account associated with that team after 30 days.
If an account is scheduled for automatic deletion, you'll see a warning message at the top of the dashboard notifying you.
Please note If you have multiple SparkLayer accounts, you may encounter this warning message on any accounts that do not have an active store connected with them. To make sure you're signed into the correct SparkLayer account, please click the menu beneath the SparkLayer logo on the top left and choose the appropriate store.

Accessing the SparkLayer Dashboard via your Shopify admin
To make accessing your dashboard more convenient, we've introduced a feature that automatically logs you into the team owner's SparkLayer Dashboard account linked to your Shopify app installation.
For security reasons, if the email you use to log in to Shopify differs from the email associated with the SparkLayer team owners email, you will be logged in with restricted access. This limited access means you won't be able to:
- Changing to other teams
- Managing teams
- Managing account details
If you need full access to the dashboard, please log out and log back in using the team owner's credentials.
