## Uninstalling SparkLayer

We understand SparkLayer may not be right just now, but we'd love to be able to help before you uninstall and cancel your subscription.

**What's the main reason you're considering canceling?**

💸 [It's too expensive →](https://www.sparklayer.io/feedback/?reason=pricing)
🕒 [I'm not using it enough →](https://www.sparklayer.io/feedback/?reason=usage)
🧩 [Missing features I need →](https://www.sparklayer.io/feedback/?reason=features)
🛠️ [Technical issues →](https://www.sparklayer.io/feedback/?reason=technical)
🔄 [Switching to a competitor →](https://www.sparklayer.io/feedback/?reason=competitor)
❓ [It's something else → ](https://www.sparklayer.io/feedback/?reason=other)

You can also see our guide below on how to uninstall SparkLayer from your Shopify store.

**Uninstalling SparkLayer in Shopify (click to expand)**

SparkLayer works as a **Sales channel** within Shopify and uninstalling it works in the same way as any other sales channel.

Please follow the below steps:

::::WorkflowBlock
:::WorkflowBlockItem
From your Shopify admin, click **Settings**, and then click **Apps and sales channels**.
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
Click **Uninstall** beside the **SparkLayer B2B & Wholesale ** sales channel that you want to remove.
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
If you want to give a reason for removing the channel, then enter it in the field.
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
Click to confirm

Once you've removed the sales channel, this will then **cancel** the SparkLayer recurring billing changes with immediate effect.

**Please note**

- If you've also added the SparkLayer [Frontend Interfaces](docId\:ccZ1vnH0O6D_722w35Xpa) to your Shopify store, these will need to be removed manually.
- When you follow the uninstall process, our system will automatically delete the account associated with that team after 30 days. If an account is scheduled for automatic deletion, you'll see a warning message at the top of the dashboard notifying you.
- Please note, depending on when your billing cycle to SparkLayer began, you may see charges you're not expecting. Please [contact us](docId\:NNUw1G9z7eaJ4M78vk7t9) if you would like us to investigate.

## Transferring to another Shopify store

When you first sign up to SparkLayer, you'll be asked to associate your account with a Shopify URL (i.e. `storename.myshopify.com`). Once that's done, SparkLayer will be locked to that URL and will begin synchronising products, customers, and enable you to install the Frontend code snippets to test it out.

There may be some scenarios where you need to "transfer" your SparkLayer account to a different Shopify store:

- You want to trial SparkLayer on a **test or development Shopify store** just to see how it works before you fully commit to using it.
- You want to transfer SparkLayer from a "hybrid" Shopify store to a "standalone" Shopify store (or vice versa)

The good news is, it's possible to transfer accounts by following the below steps!

- First, sign into your Shopify store and uninstall SparkLayer **via the steps above**. This will disconnect SparkLayer from the Shopify store
- Next, you'll need to create a new team by following [these steps](docId\:r9NG74uJdtyWlvGbpnB5u)
- Next, [sign into SparkLayer](https://app.sparklayer.io/Login) with the new account you created and go to Configuration and click [Integrations](https://app.sparklayer.io/configuration/integrations/platform)
- Once you've created the new team, go to Configuration > Connect your Shopify Store
- Select **Shopify** and re-enter the new Shopify URL you wish to connect (i.e. `new-storename.myshopify.com`)
- You'll then be taken to the Shopify admin and asked to reinstall SparkLayer and select a plan.
- Once that's completed, you'll then be returned to the SparkLayer Dashboard. SparkLayer will then begin synchronising your products and customers and you can then re-install the [Frontend Interfaces](docId\:ccZ1vnH0O6D_722w35Xpa) on the new store

:::hint{type="info" attributes="[object Object]"}
**Please note**
Shopify data: The transfer process above will **not** transfer any of your Shopify data (e.g. products, customers, orders). This must be managed externally to SparkLayer and apps such as [Matrixify](https://apps.shopify.com/excel-export-import?) can help with this process.

If you require any assistance in transferring your Shopify store, please feel free to [contact us](docId\:NNUw1G9z7eaJ4M78vk7t9) and we'll be happy to help.

## Trial period

When you first setup SparkLayer, you'll be given a free-trial to allow you to test how it works and ensure it's a good fit for your needs.

If you'd like to extend your trial, please [contact our team](docId\:NNUw1G9z7eaJ4M78vk7t9) and we'll be happy to discuss.
