Track how often each account orders in Pulse, see who is due, overdue or has gone quiet, and turn them into reorder calls on your Task List.

> **Pulse is in early access.** Request it for your sales team. [Request early access](https://feedback.sparklayer.io/get-started?choice=now). [Try the interactive demo](https://www.sparklayer.io/pulse/).

> **Quick summary**
>
> - **Reorder radar** in Pulse tracks every account's order rhythm: how often they order, when they last did, when they're next due and what their usual order is worth.
> - Each account gets a status, such as **On rhythm**, **Due**, **Overdue** or **Gone quiet**, worked out from its own history rather than a fixed number of days.
> - **Action plan** turns the due, overdue and quiet accounts into reorder calls for today on your [Task List](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pulse/task-list.md).

Most B2B customers reorder on a rhythm: one every couple of weeks, another every quarter. **Reorder radar** learns each account's rhythm from its orders and tells you who should have ordered by now, so you can call before a late reorder becomes a lost customer.

## The Reorder radar screen

| Part | What it shows / does |
| --- | --- |
| **On rhythm** tile | How many accounts are inside their usual gap between orders. |
| **Due or overdue** tile | How many accounts are due or overdue, and how many of those are past their date. |
| **Gone quiet** tile | How many accounts are well past their rhythm. |
| **Worth chasing** tile | The total value of the usual baskets of every due, overdue and quiet account: roughly what those calls could bring in. |
| **Order frequency** table | One row per account that has ordered, the most urgent first: **Status**, **Account**, **Frequency**, **Gaps**, **Last order**, **Next due** and **Usual basket**. Click an account's name to open it. |
| **Frequency** | How often the account orders, such as **every \~21d**, with orders per month and how many orders it placed in the last 90 days. A newer account shows **one order so far** or **no pattern yet**. |
| **Gaps** | A small line of the days between the account's recent orders, up to its last 9 orders. A flat line is a steady customer; spikes are orders that came late. Hover over it for details. It needs at least 3 orders. |
| **Next due** | The date the next order is expected, with how many days away it is, or how many days ago it was due. **Today** if it's due today. |
| **Usual basket** | What the account's next order is likely to be worth. |
| **Prep** | Opens the account's call prep sheet: its key facts and what to talk about. |
| **Order** | Opens the order builder, signed in as the customer, with their usual basket ready to check and place. |
| **Action plan** | Turns the due, overdue and quiet accounts into tasks (see [Plan your reorder calls](#plan-your-reorder-calls)). |
| **Download CSV** | Saves every row, with the usual gap, orders in the last 90 days and how many days until each account is due. |

Click **On rhythm**, **Due or overdue** or **Gone quiet** to list the accounts behind it. **Worth chasing** lists the due and overdue accounts. The table shows 20 accounts a page, and has no search or filters: the order of the rows does the sorting for you.

### Order frequency statuses

Each account's status comes from its own rhythm. The table lists them in this order, and within a status, the account due soonest (or most overdue) comes first.

| Status | Means |
| --- | --- |
| **Overdue** | More than 3 days past the date their next order was due. |
| **Gone quiet** | At least 2.5 times their usual gap since their last order, and more than 30 days. The status shows how many days, such as **Gone quiet · 75d**. An account that has gone quiet shows as **Gone quiet**, not **Overdue**. |
| **Due** | Their next order is due today, or was due up to 3 days ago. |
| **On rhythm** | Their next order isn't due yet. |
| **Irregular** | No rhythm yet: 2 orders, or a single order placed more than 90 days ago. |
| **New** | 1 order so far, placed in the last 90 days. |

Accounts that haven't ordered yet aren't listed.

## Plan your reorder calls

1. In Pulse, click **Reorder radar** in the sidebar.
2. Click **Action plan**. The **Reorder action plan** lists every due, overdue and quiet account, each ticked.
3. Untick any account you don't want to call.
4. Click **Add to Task List**. Pulse adds a task for each ticked account and opens your open tasks on the Task List.

**More detail**

Each task is dated today and worded from the account's own rhythm, for example "Reorder call · 6d overdue · usual basket \~$800", "Reorder call · due today · usual basket \~$800" or "Reorder call · quiet 75 days". The foot of the plan shows how many tasks you're adding and roughly what their usual baskets are worth, and **Add to Task List** is greyed out while nothing is ticked. If nobody is due, it says **Nobody is due — nothing to plan.** See [Task List](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pulse/task-list.md).

## Call or order for a due account

1. Find the account in the **Order frequency** table. Overdue and due accounts are near the top.
2. Click **Prep** to see the account's facts and talking points before you call.
3. Click **Order** to build their usual order, signed in as the customer, then check it with them and place it.

**More detail**

The order builder opens with the account's usual basket: the products and quantities they normally order, at their prices. Change anything before you place it. See [Order for a customer](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/sales-ordering/order-for-a-customer.md). ## How the figures are worked out

| Figure | How it's worked out |
| --- | --- |
| Usual gap | The average number of days between the account's own orders. Pulse only works one out once the account has at least 3 orders, so it never guesses a rhythm. |
| **Next due** | The date of the last order plus the usual gap. |
| **Usual basket** | The products on at least half of the account's orders, each at its usual (median) quantity and the account's own price. It predicts the next order, so it can differ from the average order value. If no product is on half their orders, it's their average order value. |
| **Frequency** | Orders per month is 30 divided by the usual gap. |
| **Gaps** | The days between each of the account's last 9 orders. |
| **Worth chasing** | The usual baskets of the due, overdue and quiet accounts, added up. |

Reorder radar always reads as of today: the date range at the top of Pulse doesn't change it. Reorder radar only uses orders placed through your storefront, so an account that also orders by phone, by email or through your ERP can look late when it isn't. See [Where the figures come from](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pulse.md#where-the-figures-come-from).

## FAQs

**Why is an account shown as overdue when it ordered recently?**

The order may not have been placed through your storefront. Orders taken by phone or email, or keyed into your ERP, aren't counted, so Pulse doesn't know about them.

**Why does an account show no rhythm?**

Pulse needs at least 3 orders to work out an account's usual gap. Until then, the account shows **New** or **Irregular**, and isn't included in the action plan.

**Why isn't a new account on Reorder radar?**

Accounts that haven't ordered yet, such as accounts you've invited, aren't listed. They appear after their first order, as **New**.

**Can I date reorder calls for later?**

No. The action plan dates every task today, because every account in it is due now, overdue or quiet. To plan a call for another day, open the account and add a task with a **Due** date on its **Tasks & Notes** tab instead.
