See what your accounts buy in Pulse, by product range and variant, and find who buys each product and who doesn't stock it yet.

> **Quick summary**
>
> - **Products** in Pulse shows what your accounts buy, by range: a range is a product with all its variants, such as sizes or colours.
> - The tiles and chart follow the date range. The **What's selling** table and each product's panel cover every order on record.
> - Open a range or a variant to see how it has sold over 24 months, **Who takes it** and who's **Not stocking it yet**: the accounts to offer it to next.
> - From a product you can add it to a customer's order or click **View product** to open it on your storefront.

Use **Products** to see which ranges carry your book and to find your next conversation: a product most of your accounts buy is an easy one to suggest to the accounts that don't.

## The Products screen

The tiles and chart show what's selling in the date range. The **What's selling** table lists every range your accounts have ordered.

| Part | What it shows / does |
| --- | --- |
| **Ranges** tile | How many product ranges your accounts have ever ordered, and how many variants they include. |
| **Units** tile | The number of units ordered in the date range. |
| **Revenue** tile | The value of those units. Click it to list the orders behind it. |
| **Top range** tile | The range with the most revenue in the date range, and its revenue. |
| **Units by range** | A stacked bar chart of units ordered in each period of the date range, one colour per range, for your 8 best-selling ranges. Choose the **Period** (**Auto**, **Day**, **Week** or **Month**). Click a bar to see its units by range and the orders in it, or a range name under the chart to open that range. |
| Month comparison strip | Under the chart: units of those ranges this month so far, then 1, 3 and 6 months ago, each with a percentage change. |
| **What's selling** table | One row per range, highest revenue first: **Range**, **SKU**, **Units**, **Orders**, **Buyers**, **Revenue** and **Last ordered**. 20 ranges a page, with **Previous** and **Next**. Click a row to open the range. |
| Arrow next to a range | **Show variants** lists the range's variants underneath it, each with the same columns. Click again to **Hide variants**. |
| **SKU** | The SKU of a range with one variant, or the number of SKUs in it, such as **4 SKUs**. |
| **Buyers** | How many of your accounts have ordered the range, such as **3 of 6**. |
| Search | Type a range, product name or SKU (**Range, product or SKU…**). Ranges with a matching variant open to show it. |
| **Download CSV** | Saves every range in the table, with your search applied, as a CSV file. |

## See who buys a product, and who doesn't

1. In Pulse, click **Products** in the sidebar.
2. Click a range, or click the arrow and then a variant.
3. Under **Who takes it**, check each account that orders it, with their units, when they last ordered it and their revenue.
4. Under **Not stocking it yet**, check the accounts that have never ordered it. Click an account to open it.

**More detail**

Each account under **Not stocking it yet** shows its health, when it last ordered anything and what its orders are usually worth, so you can pick the best one to call first. The panel also shows **Units**, **Revenue** and **On orders** for all time, **Buyers** with how many aren't stocking it yet, and a **Movement · 24 months** chart. A range's panel lists its **Variants**, and a variant's panel links back to its range. See [A product](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pulse/records.md#a-product).

## Add a product to a customer's order

1. Open the range or variant.
2. Click **Add to a buyer's cart**.
3. Under **Add to whose cart?**, search for the account and choose it. Pulse opens the order builder, signed in as the customer, with the product added.
4. Check the order and place it.

In the **Add to whose cart?** list, **stocks it** means the account has ordered the product before, and **new line** means it hasn't. See [Order for a customer](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/sales-ordering/order-for-a-customer.md) for how the order builder works.

**More detail**

From a variant, Pulse adds that variant. From a range, it adds the variants the account usually orders, or the range's best-selling variant if they don't order any. The quantity is the account's usual quantity when the product is in their usual basket. Otherwise it's the median quantity of that product on your accounts' orders, or 12 if nobody has ordered it yet.

## View a product on your storefront

1. Open the range or variant.
2. Click **View product**. The product page opens in a new tab.

## How the figures are worked out

| Figure | How it's worked out |
| --- | --- |
| **Units** and **Revenue** tiles, **Units by range** | Lines on orders placed in the date range. Revenue is quantity times the unit price the account paid. |
| **Top range** | The range with the most revenue in the date range. |
| Best-selling ranges in the chart | The 8 ranges with the most revenue across every order on record. |
| **What's selling** table | Every order on record, whatever the date range: units, order lines, the accounts that have ordered the range, revenue and the last order date. |
| **Orders** | The number of order lines for the range or variant. An order with 2 variants of a range counts twice for the range. |
| **Buyers** | Accounts that have ordered the range or variant at least once, out of all your accounts. |
| **Not stocking it yet** | Your accounts that have never ordered the range or variant. Accounts you've invited that haven't started ordering aren't listed. |
| Range | A product and all its variants. |

Products only counts orders placed through your storefront. See [Where the figures come from](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pulse.md#where-the-figures-come-from).

## FAQs

**Why don't the What's selling figures match the tiles?**

The tiles and the **Units by range** chart follow the date range. The **What's selling** table and each product's panel count every order on record, whatever the date range.

**How much does Add to a buyer's cart add?**

The account's usual quantity, when the product is in their usual basket. Otherwise Pulse uses the median quantity of that product on your accounts' orders, or 12 if nobody has ordered it yet. You can change the quantity in the order builder before placing the order.

**Why isn't an account listed under Not stocking it yet?**

Either it has ordered the product at least once, in which case it's under **Who takes it**, or it's an account you've invited that hasn't started ordering yet.
