## What metafields are

Metafields store extra information that your platform's admin doesn't usually capture, such as a product's pack size or RRP, or a customer's credit limit. On other platforms, SparkLayer reads them to change what B2B customers see and can order.

The [metafield settings](https://docs.sparklayer.io/developers/data/metafields.md) in the developer docs don't apply to Wix stores.
