Answers to common questions about SparkLayer on Wix: plans and billing, setup, themes, currencies, B2B-only products, stock and managing B2B orders.

## Plans and billing

**Which SparkLayer plans can I use on Wix?**

Every SparkLayer plan from Starter to Enterprise works with Wix. See [Plans and features](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/plans-and-features.md) and the [SparkLayer pricing page](https://www.sparklayer.io/pricing/).

**How does billing work?**

Billing is managed through your Wix account and charged monthly, or annually if you choose that option.

## Wix setup

**Where do I find the SparkLayer Wix app?**

In the [Wix App Market](https://www.wix.com/app-market/search-result?query=sparklayer). See [Install SparkLayer on Wix](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/platforms/wix/install.md).

**Which Wix plan do I need?**

SparkLayer works with Wix Editor and Wix Studio sites. You need an active Wix store.

**Can I run retail (DTC) and B2B on the same store?**

Yes. You can install SparkLayer on your existing retail Wix store and run both from it. We call this a hybrid setup. When B2B customers sign in, they see the SparkLayer [frontend interfaces](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/storefront.md) with their prices and ordering options. Try it on our [B2B and retail demo store](https://demo.wix.sparklayer.io/).

## Store setup

**Can you install SparkLayer on my Wix store for me?**

Yes, free of charge. To ask our team, click **Request installation** at **Storefront > Widgets** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/configuration/frontend/core)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Storefront > Widgets** in the Shopify app in the SparkLayer Dashboard. We can usually do this within 1–2 working days. We then offer an onboarding session to walk you through how everything works. See [Request free installation](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/support.md#request-free-installation).

**Does SparkLayer work with any Wix theme?**

Yes, SparkLayer works with all Wix themes. Once you've installed the app, our team completes the storefront install for you after you [invite us as a collaborator](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/platforms/wix/install.md#invite-our-team-as-a-collaborator).

**How does SparkLayer affect my Wix theme?**

The SparkLayer widgets (B2B pricing, the cart and the My Account area) only load when a customer in a B2B customer group signs in. Everyone else sees your store as it is today, so you control exactly who sees B2B prices and can place B2B orders.

**I already use a wholesale or B2B app. Can I still use SparkLayer?**

Yes. SparkLayer can run alongside it, so you can try SparkLayer first and uninstall the other app when you're ready. If the other app changed your store's code, you can ask its developer to remove those changes, but you don't have to.

## Payments and currencies

**Can customers use my existing Wix payment methods?**

Yes, when they choose **Pay Online by Card** at the SparkLayer checkout. They're then taken to the Wix checkout, which shows every payment method you've set up in Wix (such as PayPal or Affirm). Any payment method Wix supports can be used this way.

**Can I use multiple currencies for B2B customers?**

Only partly. A Wix store [can only accept one currency](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-stores-request-selling-in-multiple-currencies), such as GBP. If you create price lists in other currencies at **Pricing > Price lists** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/pricing/lists)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Pricing > Price lists** in the Shopify app:

- Signed-in B2B customers see prices in their price list's currency, at the exchange rate at that time.
- If they order in a currency other than your store's default, the order is created with the same amounts but in your default currency. For example, a checkout total of €227.46 appears in Wix as £227.46.

## Products

**How do I hide products or set up B2B-only products?**

A few options work well together:

- **Create a B2B-only page or collection** and send customers to it when they sign in. In the Wix editor, open the page's settings and, under **Permissions**, choose **Site members** and then **Specific members**. Turn on **Members with roles** and choose a member role, such as `B2B Customers`. See Wix's guide to [creating restricted store pages](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-stores-creating-restricted-store-pages).
- **Create B2B-only products** as separate products in Wix, each with its own SKU.
- **Leave products out of your price lists.** If a SKU has no B2B price, B2B customers can't buy it.

**How do I hide retail prices on my Wix store?**

Hide your retail prices in Wix, so prices only appear once a B2B customer signs in. This is one way to make your Wix store B2B-only. See Wix's guide to [hiding product prices](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-stores-hiding-product-prices).

**Can I base B2B prices on my Wix prices?**

Yes. An automatic price list can use your Wix prices (such as your retail price) and apply a discount, for example 20% off. It can also allow for your Wix tax setup, whether your prices include or exclude tax. See [Managing pricing](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pricing/managing-pricing.md).

**How do I set up pre-order and back-order products?**

Turn on **Pre-order** for the product in Wix; see [Pre-orders and pre-order limits](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/platforms/wix/install.md#pre-orders-and-pre-order-limits). SparkLayer then shows a pre-order message to B2B customers. [Stock display](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/storefront/stock-display.md) explains the stock messages and how to show "due in" dates.

**Do my products need SKUs?**

Yes. SparkLayer matches B2B prices to products by SKU, so a product without a unique SKU can't show B2B prices. You can add SKUs to products one at a time, or in bulk with Wix's product import or bulk edit. See [Add SKUs to your products](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/platforms/wix/install.md#add-skus-to-your-products).

**How do I show stock levels?**

SparkLayer can show stock levels and a stock status to signed-in B2B customers. See [Stock display](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/storefront/stock-display.md).

**Can I keep B2B and retail stock separate?**

Not on one store. When retail and B2B run from the same Wix store, they share the same stock, and Wix has no way to stop retail customers ordering from it. To separate stock, either create B2B-only products, or set up a separate Wix store for your B2B customers.

## Customer experience

**How do I set up a B2B registration form?**

You can add extra fields to your existing sign-up page, or create a separate registration page for B2B customers using [Wix Forms](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-forms-an-overview). To review applications yourself, add approved customers manually in **Customers & Leads > Contacts**. SparkLayer also has its own [Forms](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/forms.md).

**How do I invite B2B customers to my store?**

You can use Wix's own messaging:

- **One customer:** open the contact in **Customers & Leads > Contacts**, go to the **Inbox** tab and send them a message, for example telling them to sign in to your store.
- **Several customers:** in **Customers & Leads > Contacts**, search or filter your contacts, select them and click **Send Email Campaign**.

The [Launch checklist](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/get-started/launching.md) has example messages.

**Will SparkLayer slow down my Wix store?**

No. SparkLayer only loads when a B2B customer signs in; for retail customers, no SparkLayer code loads at all. For B2B customers, the widgets load asynchronously, so the effect on page load times is negligible.

**How do I show B2B-only content on my Wix store?**

We recommend talking to a Wix expert developer before making changes to your site.

## Orders

**Where do I find B2B orders in Wix?**

In **Sales > Orders**. The payment status depends on how the customer paid:

| Payment method | Payment status in Wix |
| --- | --- |
| **Pay on Account** | **Unpaid**. Mark the order as paid once you've received payment. |
| **Pay by Invoice** | **Unpaid**. Mark the order as paid once you've received payment. |
| **Pay Online by Card** | **Paid**, ready to fulfil. |
| **Request for Quote** | **Unpaid**. Mark the order as paid once you've received payment. |

In customer groups, **Pay Online by Card** is called **Card at checkout**. See [How B2B orders arrive in Wix](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/platforms/wix/install.md#how-b2b-orders-arrive-in-wix).

**Why do orders show as Awaiting merchant?**

**Awaiting merchant** is the status a customer sees in their [My Account](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/storefront/interfaces/my-account.md#order-statuses) area for an order you haven't confirmed payment for yet. For example, you might still need to send an invoice.

To move it on, go to **Sales > Orders**, select the order and choose **More Actions > Mark as paid**. The status changes from **Awaiting merchant** to **Processing**, and you can fulfil the order as normal.

**Can I edit an order?**

Yes, as long as payment hasn't been processed. Open the order in **Sales > Orders**, click **More Actions** and choose **Edit order**.

**How do I send an invoice?**

SparkLayer doesn't send invoices itself, but Wix can. Open the order in **Sales > Orders**, click **More Actions** and choose **Create Invoice**. You collect payment your usual way, then mark the order as paid in Wix and fulfil it.

**How do I set a minimum order value?**

Set order limits for each customer group in **Customers > Groups** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/customers/groups)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Customers > Customer groups** in the Shopify app: a minimum or maximum order total, or a minimum or maximum number of items. See [Set order limits](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/storefront/quantity-rules.md#order-limit-rules).

**How do I send order notifications to customers and my team?**

In your Wix dashboard, go to **Settings > Outgoing Notifications**.
