# Cancel, uninstall or transfer SparkLayer

Cancel SparkLayer on Shopify by uninstalling the app, see what happens to billing and your data, move SparkLayer to another store or extend your trial.

> Treat uninstalling as deleting your SparkLayer account: its price lists, customer groups and settings. Before you uninstall, export anything you want to keep, such as your [price lists](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pricing/managing-pricing.md). If you plan to reinstall, [transfer to another store](#transfer-sparklayer-to-another-shopify-store) or need a [test store](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/dashboard/test-mode.md), [contact our support team](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/support.md) first, so we can talk through your options. ## Uninstall SparkLayer

SparkLayer works as a sales channel in Shopify, called **SparkLayer Wholesale**. You remove it like any other sales channel.

1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Settings > Apps and sales channels** ([open in the Shopify admin](https://admin.shopify.com/settings/apps)).
2. On the **Installed** tab, find **SparkLayer Wholesale**, open its **...** menu and click **Uninstall**. 
3. Optionally, enter a reason for removing the channel.
4. Confirm the uninstall.

### What happens when you uninstall

Uninstalling affects your billing, your SparkLayer account and your theme:

| What | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| **Billing** | Your subscription ends, and SparkLayer's recurring charges are cancelled straight away. Depending on when your billing cycle started, you may still see charges you weren't expecting. See [Billing, trials and cancelling](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/dashboard/billing.md) for refunds, or [contact us](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/support.md) and we'll look into them. |
| **Your SparkLayer account and data** | Scheduled for deletion, and deleted automatically 30 days after you uninstall. Until then, a warning at the top of the SparkLayer Dashboard tells you the account is scheduled for deletion. Don't rely on getting your data back: export it before you uninstall. |
| **Frontend code in your theme** | Not removed. If you added the SparkLayer [frontend interfaces](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/storefront/interfaces.md) to your theme, remove them by hand, or ask your developer. They only show to signed-in B2B customers, so they don't affect retail visitors in the meantime. |

## Transfer SparkLayer to another Shopify store

When you sign up, your SparkLayer account is linked to one Shopify address, for example `storename.myshopify.com`. SparkLayer is then locked to that store: it syncs its products and customers, and you install the frontend code there.

You might want to move SparkLayer to another store if:

- You tried SparkLayer on a **test or development store** and now want to use it on your live store.
- You're moving from a hybrid store (retail and B2B together) to a standalone B2B store, or the other way round.

A transfer starts with uninstalling SparkLayer from the old store, which deletes its SparkLayer data. So before you start, [contact our support team](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/support.md), and export anything you want to keep, such as your [price lists](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/pricing/managing-pricing.md).

To transfer your account:

1. Sign in to your current Shopify store and [uninstall SparkLayer](#uninstall-sparklayer). This disconnects SparkLayer from that store.
2. Create a new team: see [Account settings](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/dashboard/account.md).
3. [Sign in to the SparkLayer Dashboard](https://app.sparklayer.io/Login) with the new team and go to **Integrations > Platform** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/configuration/integrations/platform)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Integrations > Platform** in the Shopify app.
4. Under **Your platform**, select **Shopify** and enter the address of the new store in **Shopify store**, for example `new-storename`. 
5. Shopify opens and asks you to install **SparkLayer Wholesale** and choose a plan.
6. You're returned to SparkLayer, which starts syncing the new store's products and customers. Then work through **Home > Setup** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Setup** in the Shopify app for the new store, including [Theme setup](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/platforms/shopify/theme-setup.md).

The transfer doesn't move any Shopify data, such as products, customers or orders. Move that separately, for example with an app like [Matrixify](https://apps.shopify.com/excel-export-import). If you'd like help, [contact us](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/support.md).
