# Shopping lists

URL: https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/ordering/shopping-lists

Let B2B customers save named shopping lists, add products from the cart or product page, edit quantities, add whole lists to the cart and export them to CSV.

> **Quick summary**
>
> - Shopping lists let B2B customers save products and quantities in named lists, such as "Every month order", then add a whole list to the cart to reorder.
> - They're on by default, on every plan, with nothing to set up. Customers use them from **My Account > Shopping Lists**, product pages and the cart. Sales agents can use and export lists when [ordering for a customer](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/sales-ordering/order-for-a-customer.md).
> - To hide them, turn off **Shopping lists** at **Storefront > Options > My Account** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/storefront/options)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Storefront > Options > My Account** in the Shopify app.

## How it works

Shopping lists save products with their variants and quantities, so customers don't rebuild the same order each time. Each customer can keep as many lists as they need, such as monthly restocks, seasonal ranges or an order built up over several days.

How customers use shopping lists:

1. **Save products**: From a product page, the cart or My Account.
2. **Edit the list**: Change quantities, add or remove products.
3. **Add to cart**: The whole list, or only selected items.
4. **Check out**: As with any other order.

To try them, sign in to our [B2B demo store](https://demo.sparklayer.io/pages/b2b-login-register).

[Favourites](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/ordering/favourites.md) are different: they save only the product, with no variant or quantity. See [Favourites vs shopping lists](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/ordering/favourites.md#favourites-vs-shopping-lists).

## Create a shopping list

Customers can create a list in 3 places:

| Where | How |
| --- | --- |
| **My Account** | Go to **My Account > Shopping Lists** and click **Create List**. This starts an empty list and leaves the cart as it is. |
| **Add to shopping list window** | When adding a product to a list, click **Or create a new shopping list**. |
| **Cart** | Click **Actions**, choose **Add to shopping list**, then create a new list. |

The **Shopping Lists** page shows each list's **Name** and **Last Updated** date, with a search box and an **Actions** menu for each list.

## Add products to a list

**From a product page**

1. Set the quantity of each product or variant you want.
2. Click the **Add to shopping list** icon (a clipboard) next to the **Add to Cart** button.
3. In the **Add to shopping list** window, choose a list (or create a new one) and click **Save**.

The quantity on the page is saved to the list, and a message confirms it.

**From the cart**

1. In the cart, click **Actions**.
2. Choose **Add to shopping list**, or one of the lists shown under **Shopping Lists** in the menu.
3. In the **Add to shopping list** window, choose the list and click **Save**.

## Edit a list

Open a list from **My Account > Shopping Lists**. It shows when it was created and last modified, and each product's quantity and price.

| To | Do this |
| --- | --- |
| **Add products** | Search by name, SKU or barcode at the top of the list, and set the quantity. |
| **Change quantities** | Use the quantity controls on each product. Quantity rules such as pack sizes still apply. |
| **Remove products** | Click the bin icon on a product, or tick several products and remove them together. |

## Add a list to the cart

Customers open the list and add the **whole list** at its saved quantities, or tick products and add **only the selected items**. Then they check out as normal.

Lists top up the cart: if a product is already there, its quantity increases. Nothing in the cart is removed or replaced.

## Export a list to CSV

Customers and sales agents can download a list as a CSV file, to share or work on offline. Unsaved changes are saved first, so the file matches the screen.

The CSV includes the SKU, name, unit price and quantity of every item.

## Turn shopping lists off

1. Go to **Storefront > Options** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/storefront/options)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Storefront > Options** in the Shopify app and open **My Account**.
2. Turn off **Shopping lists**.
3. Click **Save and publish**.

The shopping list icon disappears from product pages, and Shopping Lists disappears from My Account.
