# Intuitive Shipping

Show your Intuitive Shipping rates to B2B customers in the SparkLayer checkout on Shopify or BigCommerce, with setup steps, testing and known limitations.

## What it does

[Intuitive Shipping](https://intuitiveshipping.com/) is a shipping app for eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and BigCommerce, for managing shipping rules on your store.

With the integration, the rates you set up in Intuitive Shipping show in the SparkLayer checkout, where B2B customers choose one.

How Intuitive Shipping rates reach the SparkLayer checkout:

1. **Intuitive Shipping**: You set up your shipping rates and rules
2. **SparkLayer**: Fetches the rates using your API key
3. **Checkout**: B2B customers choose a rate at Review & Pay

## What syncs and in which direction

Rates go one way, from Intuitive Shipping into the SparkLayer checkout, each time a customer checks out.

## Set up Intuitive Shipping

Check the requirements, connect Intuitive Shipping with its API key, then test it at checkout.

### Requirements

- **An Intuitive Shipping account**, with the [Intuitive Shipping app](https://apps.shopify.com/intuitive-shipping) installed on your store.
- **A Shopify or BigCommerce store** connected to SparkLayer.
- **SparkLayer shipping turned on**: **Use SparkLayer shipping rates** ticked in **Settings > Shipping** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/configuration/shipping)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Settings > Shipping** in the Shopify app (see [shipping rules](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/ordering/shipping-rules.md)). This stops your eCommerce platform's own shipping methods showing in the SparkLayer checkout.

### Connect Intuitive Shipping

1. In your Intuitive Shipping dashboard, go to **Settings > Partner Integrations** and copy the **API Key**.
2. In the SparkLayer Dashboard, go to **Integrations > Partners** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/configuration/integrations/partners)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Integrations > Partners** in the Shopify app.
3. Under **Shipping**, turn on the switch next to **Intuitive Shipping**.
4. Paste the key into **API Key** and click **Save**.

### Test the integration

1. Sign in to your store as a B2B customer.
2. Go through checkout until you reach **Review & Pay**.
3. Under **Shipping Method**, check you see the rates you set up in Intuitive Shipping, for example **Standard**, **Priority** and **Overnight**, each with its delivery time and price.

## Limitations

- **Shipping dates** set up in Intuitive Shipping aren't used.
- Only physical products are supported, not digital products.
- Shipping prices are always shown net (excluding tax).
