# Your plan and usage

Check your SparkLayer plan and this month's usage, start a 14-day free trial, unlock a paid feature, and browse everything SparkLayer does in Explore features.

> - Your plan shows in the plan card at the foot of the SparkLayer Dashboard's sidebar, or under **Plan** in the Shopify app: **Plan card** in the SparkLayer Dashboard, or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Plan** in the Shopify app. Home has a plan card too.

## Your plan

Your plan sets how many B2B orders you can take a month, how many price lists and sales agents you can have, and which features you get. SparkLayer shows how much you've used this month, so you can see when it's time to change.

| --- | --- |
| **SparkLayer Dashboard**: the plan card at the foot of the sidebar | Your plan, a status badge, meters for **B2B orders this month**, **Price lists** and **Sales agents**, and a button such as **Compare plans**. |
| **Shopify app**: **Plan** in the menu | Opens the plans window. |
| **Home**, in both versions | A plan card with the same meters under **Your usage this month**, and what your plan gives you or what the next one adds. |

### What the badge means

| Badge | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Free** | You're on the free Basic plan, with room to spare. |
| **Nearly full** | You've used 80% or more of this month's B2B orders, or on Basic, of your 3 price lists. |
| **At limit** | On Basic, you've used all of this month's B2B orders or all 3 price lists. |
| **Over limit** | On any plan, you've taken more B2B orders this month than your plan includes. |
| **Trial · 5 days left** (for example) | You're on a free trial, with the days left. |
| **Active** | You're on a paid plan. |

**What counts as a B2B order**

Only orders placed through SparkLayer count towards your allowance. Retail orders through the same store don't count, and test orders from [Try it out](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/get-started/launching.md#place-a-test-order) are marked as tests, so they don't count either. The count starts again each month.

### If you go over your allowance

Nothing is blocked. Your buyers keep ordering and SparkLayer keeps working. The plan card changes to **Nearly full**, then **Over limit**, and suggests the plan that fits your order pace. Our team may also get in touch to talk about whether another plan would suit you better.

## Change your plan

1. Open the plans window: click the button on your plan card, such as **Compare plans**, or **Plan** in the Shopify app's menu.
2. Choose **Starter**, **Growth** or **Pro**. Each shows its monthly price, B2B orders a month and sales agents. The plan that fits your last 7 days of orders is marked **Recommended**.
3. Click **Start free trial**. On Pro, the button is **Change plan**.
4. On Shopify, confirm the change in your Shopify admin. Shopify then bills you monthly. On other platforms, see [How you're billed](https://docs.sparklayer.io/help/dashboard/billing.md#how-youre-billed).

Need more than 150 orders a month? Click **Talk to us about Enterprise** in the plans window. On Enterprise, see your plan and its cost under **Plan** in the account menu: click your name at the foot of the Dashboard's sidebar.

## Free trials

Every paid plan comes with a 14-day free trial. You don't need a card, and you can cancel any time.

- Starting a trial switches on that plan's features straight away.
- During the trial, the plan card counts down the days left, and features from the plan are marked **On your trial**.
- You don't need to do anything to stay on the plan. When the trial ends, you're billed for the plan you chose, and your reps, invoices and price lists stay exactly as they are. The plan card's **Keep Growth** button (or your trial's plan) confirms you're staying.

## Unlock a feature

A feature your plan doesn't include shows the plan it needs, such as **Growth** or **Pro**. To see what it does before you upgrade, click it or click **Unlock**:

1. Click the locked feature: for example **Unlock** next to **Quotes** in **Settings > Configurations > Quotes and invoices** in the SparkLayer Dashboard ([open](https://app.sparklayer.io/configuration/settings/general)), or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Settings > Configurations > Quotes and invoices** in the Shopify app, or **Sales agents** on the Basic plan.
2. Read what it does, the plan it's **Included in** and that plan's price, orders and sales agents.
3. Click **Try Growth free for 14 days** (or the plan it needs) to open the plans window, then follow [Change your plan](#change-your-plan).

Everything you set up on your current plan stays when you upgrade. If the feature is already in your plan, clicking it takes you straight to its screen.

## Explore features

**Explore features** in the SparkLayer Dashboard, or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Explore features** in the Shopify app is a catalogue of what SparkLayer does, with the plan each feature needs and a way to set it up.

1. Go to **Explore features** in the SparkLayer Dashboard, or **SparkLayer Wholesale > Explore features** in the Shopify app.
2. Choose a category: **Basics**, **Advanced** or **Extras**.
3. Click a feature to see examples, then use its buttons to set it up, preview it or **Read the docs**.

| Category | What's in it |
| --- | --- |
| **Basics** | The essentials, on every plan: B2B storefront widgets, price lists, assigned pricing, order rules, stock display and payment methods. |
| **Advanced** | How customers buy, pay and are managed as you grow: B2B catalogs, forms, sales agent ordering (Starter), net terms and credit allocations (every plan) and advanced discounts (Growth). |
| **Extras** | The wider operations around B2B: B2B shipping (Starter), invoicing (Growth), Xero and QuickBooks (Pro), quoting (Pro, or an add-on on Starter and Growth) and company users. |

A feature your plan doesn't include shows its plan as a badge, and says it's free for 14 days. To [unlock it](#unlock-a-feature), click its button.

### Hide a suggestion

To clear a feature you don't need from the list, open it and click **Hide suggestion**. To bring hidden features back, click **Show hidden** under the list.
